seats onto your tracks
Hello,
When I put Explorer buckets into my 97 Ranger, I took the seat tracks off of both seats when I noticed that although the width for the mounting points for both was dead on, the Explorer ones were deeper than the mounting points in the cab. I then noticed that the explorer seats had several sets of mounting holes, (a total of eight holes) one set of which mated up perfectly with my Ranger seat tracks. So, I mated up the seats with my Ranger seat tracks and had a seamless install. The only concern was with the trim pieces around the bottom of the seat that didn't make the change (mainly because the trim was connected to the seat belts). But, since the seats were the same color gray as the interior, the seats looked like they belonged there.
I'm soon to change the explorer buckets out for a pair of racing buckets that I got for dirt cheap, so I'll see if I can grab a photo of the underside of the Explorer seat to illustrate my description.
