Well, the Honda Ridgeline beat the Raptor so there's no traction there.

I'm waiting for my 22 year-old Chevy to bite the dust--for the shit 6.2 to fall out on the ground, for the SLA suspension to wrap itself up into a jumble of twisted pot-metal. But since it's older than most of the fags that bash it (I'm not Larry Johnson so I can say fags) I won't worry about it.

Seriously, the Chevy is a Made In USA thing and you should support it. Those are being built by Americans too--unless they are being built in Mexica by Americans, North, one each. Know what I mean? Your loyalty to a brand is stronger than anything else in your life. That's a serious problem. The Ford vs GM thing is a conspiracy crafted by Asians to strike a division between our national unity and allow the Nissan and Datsun pickups to enter the market. Your fathers fell victim to it, sometimes bought a Japanese pickup, and we have been a lost nation ever since. And now, 35 years later, you guys are so brainwashed tha you still bitch about GMs while the enemy has roots deeper than the average lilac in the yard of your modular home. It's disgusting. Your brother ZR2 wants your blessing and you spit in his face.

I spurn you.

I'm no happier than anybody else about the asian vehicles in this country, I'm even more unhappy that they're BETTER than most of the vehicles made in this country. My company vehicle is an 07 Silverado and it has given me NOTHING but problems.

it's overheated twice, the fan control relay almost caught fire (filled the cab with smoke) the tech said it was a "common problem" Good to know their trucks commonly catch fire.
The coolant temp sensor went bad
One morning it took about fifteen minutes to get started
and it's beginning to give me transmission problems, about twice a month I'll put it in gear but it'll stay in park.

The truck is only two years old!

I am NEVER going to buy one of their vehicles out of my own pocket.

These are problems I never had with my honda, or my ford for that matter. I think people supporting these crap boxes GM is making simply because they're made here is freaking ridiculous. Ford is at least getting their act together and building vehicles that are high quality in their own right, even when compared to the Asian competition. Unlike GM who built crappy vehicles and then needed a bailout after nobody bought them.

Bottom line:
Gm may be built here but they're quality in my opinion is ranked just above Kia.

can anybody tell the guys on the gm site that its not a matter of how much power you have but how much (power) will actually be transferred to the ground. and furthermore the raptor suspension design seems to have a better capability to keep the wheels planted on the ground ie better performance

Although the Raptor looks slightly too large in the front it looks amazing compared to that mall crawler of a Silverado, and the black Raptor looks sick quite honestly, I'm just a little sick of the orange one, though. But the new Silverados are way too square in all the wrong places.

I think that Chevy cannot compete with Ford since the Raptor was engineered and developed over quite a period of time. I think Chevy panicked and just through a lift kit and 20s on their truck. It has nowhere near the suspension capabilities of the Raptor. I'd sure like to see how that carbon fiber holds up on an off road truck. Also more hp doesn't always make something better since alot has to do with the tranmission, gearing, tires, etc. Chevy always has to let everyone know that they produce more hp, but their useless ads mean nothing to me.

How does the Power Wagon compare to the Raptor in off Road ability?
