Id like to thank this forum and people like Mac and Rwenzing for help on this project .
There are some things still to do one the truck and ill be the first to tell you those motor mount plates dont work for shit if there cut to the drawings for a 2001. They work well for my friends 99 . Every Ranger swap is different . Had to do some modifiying to them .

Thanks need to do some exhaust work . Sounds like a dump truck. Interior work is next . Then a 8.8 swap , Cobra brakes front and rear. Then some body work . I need to fix the alternator charging first. Anyone have some pictures of this done ?> Connector 115 (large 42-pin motor to truck plug):

Pin 42 is a ground. You must cut it about 4-inches from connector. Solder and shrink is best, but butt connectors will do if you can't solder. Remove the PCM before soldering so the hot iron doesn't damage any circuits.

Take a 6-inch wire and attach a lug on the end to ground it to the firewall. Solder to the harness end of the wire you cut. Not the plug.

The short Black wire with White stripe from the plug is now going to be used for the Yellow/White alternator wire. Get the plug and alternator wire from Ford or a salvage yard. The 1996-1997 Explorer harness has pin 41 empty. This is a Light Green/Red wire for the alternator light. From the alternator, connect this wire to the Ranger side of plug 41 or take the wire and pin from the Ranger motor plug and connect it through the plug.

As of right now I have the Light Green/Red wire abd Yellow/White to Key on power to get the ALT to charge. Works fine but looking for another way to do it.

Having problems with the a/c wiring. The a/c doesnt work in max ac or a/c . It works in panel and the off setting . It blows nice and cold on the panel setting and in offf it works but freezes up due to not having the blower on.
Anyone else have this problem ?
