I built a gooseneck trailer a year ago for my 1999 ranger with a 4.0 5 speed. the truck has 4.10 gears and handles the 14 foot by 6 foot trailer very well. The only upgrade i would like to do is airbags.

My credo

I was hoping to sneak in something similar to my Ranger when I get around to coverting it to 4x4 and other mods. I was going to go with a slightly smaller trailer, but still a gooseneck with (ideally) airbags.

I wanna see this thing too.

I've seen a ranger towing a small fifth wheel... Looks out of place.

works very well! I have been pulling the trailer I built for close to a year now. Hauling around compact tractors, hay, dirt, etc.

Yep, I like it. A gooseneck is a lot better way to pull a trailer, regardless of the size of the truck. I've had a similar plan as I want to get rid of my big truck but still be able to haul my 6,000# crawler with my B2--with a C5 and a 14-bolt rear axle with an 80" wide flatbed:

im glad you all like my trailer! thanks again for getting the pics up for me! I have hauled 6-7000# pounds with it and it handles well. i just bought airbags for the truck. hope it makes a ride difference.
