I'm sure it's been covered before, but I looked it up in the search engine more than one way without any luck.....

I want to add fog lights to my 99 Ranger 4x4. Under the front I see plugs facing downward on the outside of each frame rail in the area of stock fog lamps. I'm guessing that is the factory connectors ?

I pulled the radio bezel off, and found a female plug clipped into the back of the bezel, doing nothing. It's in the area of the stock fog lamp switch. Is that the plug that would go to the switch, if my truck was so equipped ?

Is it as simple as plugging in the switch and lights and they work ? Maybe have to plug in a relay I'd guess ?

Thanks, and sorry if this duplicates previous questions.

Yes, your truck is pre-wired for it. The wiring portion is as simple as installing a switch, installing a relay, and hooking up the lights. Mine actually had a relay already, so yours may already have one too.

I just made my own brackets for the lights, and you'll want to get a bezel with a provision for a switch.

No problem! I love my Fox!

I don't know if you are interested, but there is some info on what I did to do a custom bezel on mine where I added an additional 12 volt accessory plug.

Bezel info:

These are the brackets I made.
