.... get a lot of one back from taxes...hmmm
Lucky. I owe $1000s.... Logged 466 OT hours.... Bumped me up a few brackets.
I'll probably just go with SD axles
Talk to Brad about them.. He seems to have a lot of info on them since he is in the silly diesel scene where everyone is swapping to SD60s
That is the route I am going. 05+ SD axles. The tubes are 3-3/8 vs 3-1/8. 35 spline outers are stock. Strong unit bearings. Gears and carriers seem to be the same. Big joints. Huge brakes. Already setup for coils. I am still learning. The aftermarket is starting to catch up.
99-04 ones can be had for cheap. $500 a pair? The unit bearings kinda suck. They are just not sought after. But in our light applications, they should be fine?
Note: 99-02 F250s got D50s.
96-97 D60s have bolt on calipers. 95 and older are the slide pin style. 91 and older are King pin.
78-79 are the most sought after since the pumpkin is more centered, making the driver axles tube longer which allows the required space for activities.
