I just bought a 88 B2 and had it towed home. Great looking truck with new paint and under coating. Big 30 tires 4x4 with a slight lift. I bought it knowing it had a blown head gasket on the notorious 2.9. Well I started it up and ran water in the rad to flush it out. I couldn't be leave what happened next the water was streaming out of the exhaust. I shut it down and stopped the water and by the time I got back to look in the rad it was empty. I'm lucky I have a 90 2.9 parts motor that I'll be taking the heads off of. I also checked the brakes and all 4 are toast. The rear shoe crumbled when I took off the drum and the fronts where almost on the metal. It'll be a couple of weekends before she's up and running as I'm in no hurry to fix it. But it'll be a fun project.
I know. I know pictures.
