Been thinking about putting a windshield in it, super quite mufflers and driving it in town every once in a while. Hate only being able to enjoy it a few days a year, would be fun to go grab a burger in this thing lol.
I've been contemplating trying to fabricate an easily removable windshield. Perhaps a frame around the glass that clips into place. I have no money so that's on the backburner.

Does Piggot on DR have a windshield he set up to be easily removed or just the rear plexiglass one that is removable?

Ya thought about the removable frame idea. I remember Piggot saying it was a pain in the ass. Was thinking about just getting a new windshield and only gluing it in the corners so it's easy to remove. Should be fine for cruisin the town.

In other news, parts are going back on this thing.

Love that skid plate

Was wondering if you could tell me about the metal used for your skip plate and also the dimensions. I love the look and want to do a similar one, mine doesn't need to worry about rocks, just shrubs and snow drifts. Thanks for any information!

It's just 3/16 6061 aluminum plate bolted to the bumper which is 1-1/2 .120 wall mild steel.

Got her going again

Also got my Duramax running again. But a few holes in the Pistons towing the ranger to Battle At Primm in February. Nice to be able to take the ranger places again.

So I have been reading thru your build for the last week and a half, your truck is absolutely amazing, it has inspired me to build a prerunner out of my ranger. We don't have any desert, but we do have sand dunes in Michigan so those will have to do. Ypuve done a hell of a job on your truck, keep up the killer work!

Thanks! Glad you like the truck. I've seen pictures of the Michigan Dunes, looks like a cool place.

Truck is looking better then ever Alec. Still the best prerunner Ranger I have seen, and I have seen alot. Good to see you still have the original front end. Not fond of the 1 piece fiberglass front ends. Yours is a real classic.

Thanks man, ya I love the 93-97 front end. Doubt I'll ever go to a one piece clip. Just need to get another set of clear corners and diff head lights maybe.
