I have a 98 ford ranger with a corroded positive battery cable. Ford wants $350 bucks for one because it has an inline fuse I guess. Does anyone know where to get one for a decent price thats not used?

You can still make your own for a lot less than that. Make sure to make it weatherproof.

When I made mine, I had to use a propane torch for soldering, and I weatherproofed it with heat-shrink. Still holding fine after 3 years...

Keep the stock electrics or it may not work right. Some RBVs have a rather odd setup, with two relays, mounted separately. The starter cable is hot all the time.

For real.

It only goes to the UHJB and the starter. I don't see any fusible links.

"String" the lengths and buy the one that's closest (but not short).

For that matter..."electrically" it is "equivalant" to run the Bat+ to starter leg from the UHJB, if you wanted to use two seperate cables. One red from Bat+ to UHJB. Use the same UHJB terminal stud to run the second red cable straight to the starter. Done. Cheap.
