I got a nice ls diff w/o anti lock which my original diff had. It was a ranger stx one I got for 60 bucks w the same gear ratio and after replacing all the brakes and hydraulics, hoses etc the pedal is soft on top? Bled it a lot and I am curious if there is an issue w now not having the ls plug plugged in or something. I bled the junction part at the rear then went from furthest to shortest a bunch of times and the pedal is soft for first half of travel, then it is hard like it should be on top.http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I test drove it, hit the brakes in reverse thirty something times, pulled the drums and made sure close to shoes and all is correct and re bled from furthest to closest to master repeatedly, still like top 1/3 of pedal is softer than any other brakes I have ever re built/replaced. Was just curious if anyone maybe had similar experience when changing from an antilock rear diff to a non antilock?

You have air and or a loose connection somewhere in the hydraulics.

Any issue with the ABS system will not and cannot cause an issue with the hydraulics. It is as simple as that.
