Was at the salvage yard yesterday looking for buckets to do a swap on my '86 Ranger. I found a pair from an 85 BII XLS. Kinda wish I could have rescued it, but it was too far gone and I have too many other projects. As can be expects of 29 year old seats from a slavage yard the upholstery has seen better days, though the foam is surprisingly good shape. Eventually I want to get them recovered in more of a sports car type material and style, but need to make them usable right now.

The seats:

Don't mind the compressed foam, I had a rolling cart strapped on to hold both down for the ride home. It should relax out in a day or two.

Does anyone know where I can get fitted seat covers for these? I would also consider cheap DIY replacement upholstery, but it's got to be cheap enough to toss when time comes for the custom work.

Here's a place that make custom fit slip on seat cover.

There not cheap, they do look good. I'm thinking of getting some to protect the seats in our Explorer.

Yeah I saw them, and your post on RPS. Couldn't find their BII covers at first. Finally figured out that they are listed under the Bronco, and have to select BII as a sub model further into the order process.

Once I figured that out a few sites offer seat covers for them, now just got to figure out what type I want. Not sure I like how Neoprene look. Like the leatherette covers since this is more of a street rod type build I think they would go well. Then there are is the multitude of cloth options that definitely have the advantage in price.

I actually started another thread in general discussions asking about material opinions, figured it would get more views and input there. Didn't do the same on RPS because I figure most there go more custom than slip on seat covers.
