Hi All!
Hoping there's a 4r44e guru amongst you all. I just picked up a replacement trans for my 2000 Ranger 3.0 Auto, 4X4. It is the crrect transmission and was a great deal.I purchased it knowing that it had a broken band.It is my intention to either rebuild it or repair it.The donor vehicle had 162,000 and the trans actually seemed very good and shifted right in from nuetral. My question is,,Should I immediately go out and buy a master rebuild kit for this or, just replace the band? any and all feedback is greatly needed and appreciated.
Guess no ones interested.Anyhow going to rebuild it.Anyone have a fovorite brand kit they use.No sense in tearing it down to replace a band without overhauling it.
