Hi I'm new to owning a ranger. I picked up a 1999 for $800 with the 3.0 flex fuel and 4x4 with new tires. When I pulled the rear tires(alloy rims siezed on the hubs) the drums had a straight edge and looked like they had like curved divots on some spots i was wondering if this is normal?

are you talking about the chunks of metal welded on to balance the drum?

No I found on the back edge of the drum where it goes to the backing plate some of the edges are curved I'm used to gm products so I didn't know if ford curved some spots for a grab point or cooling both sides are like this

probably too late now, did you get this resolved?
my 2000, both factory and the later after-market drums did not have what you described.
pics would help.
