Great progress, man! Looks amazing and very capable.

Do you have plans to upgrade the SOHC to a V8?

Thanks, no plans at all for an engine swap. With 5;13 gears and 37s the 4.0 will have plenty of power for what I need. And if I were to do an engine swap I don't think it would be a v8.

Since you live in an area that deals with Ontario's stupid etest regulations you can't actually swap a V8 into your truck anyways. Anything newer than 99 in our area is almost impossible to swap in a bigger motor, found out the hard way with my 03 Mustang.

How much body lift are you running to be able to clear those 35s?

There are ways, but it's not easy, and you have to do things a certain way. a real pain in the ass. And I've seen guys with v8 Rangers and There is a guy here that has a 4bt Cummins in his 08 ranger.
If I were to swap a different engine it would be a 4bt, but I don't see that happening.

It's just a 3" performance accessories body lift. I also have explorer leafs with add a leaf and lift shackles with stock block removed.
And 2" torsion bar crank.

I run 33 inch tires with only a 1.5 inch tbar crank. It helps that the tires are only 10.5 inches wide.

Installed the new transfer case, plated the frame, started building a crossmember for the radius arms, still have to add some gussets and finish welding it.

Bunch of pics

Finished the radius arm crossmember

Tube rear crossmember to replace the stock tire carrier

Chevy 64" leafs with new bushings, cut overload and one ranger leaf added.

Rear end is in, just have to set pinion angle and weld on perches and then do shocks

Sitting on its own weight with a ratchet strap for a trac bar, I like the height it will sit at

Made some heavy duty lower coil mounts, couldn't get the coils to sit how I wanted with the stock bronco ones

Shortened e250 steering shaft with a pillow block bearing attached to the firewall

Dom tube through the frame for the steering box

Fox 2.0 shocks and limit straps from TMR customs.

Shocks, bump stops and limit straps are tacked in, front is pretty much figured out, just have to make a front engine crossmember and finish welding all the links and brackets. Then onto the rear.
