All there talking about is just putting more tension (making it tighter) on the stock cable so when you push the pedal down you get more pull from it. So they just put zip ties or something to give it more tension on. My way I described eliminates that problem.

if i can do it with just zip ties its cheaper and easier.

so i need some decent pics of someone who has done it.

Look for Brandon Miller on RPS. He fabricated an adapter plate for Mustang throttle body on this engine.

As to the application and whether it's worth it, I won't open that can of worms. :)

Good luck,
Pete

there are several options for replacing the stock, tiny, 50mm TB. BBK makes a 56mm TB housing that bolts onto the 98+ composite intake (#1548), but requires you to reuse your current throttle shaft. a 60mm v6 escape TB bolts on, but requires a little grinding and JB weld work to seal up a gap created near the IAC.

TB replacements are 100% worth the effort. as i said, the stock TB is a PUNY 50mm and is one of the biggest constrictions on a high-rapping motor like the 3.0.

I agree on the cable stretch fix. However you fix it, just do it. I was only getting 3/4 throttle - so the auto tranny would never downshift when I got on it. I was shifting it and always taking it out of overdrive just becouse of this. No wonder I was calling it pokey.

the gas pedal isnt plastic. the slack comes from the steel cable stretching out, not the gas pedal flexing.
