Without going to the scales, can anyone tell me the weight of a 4x4 SC Ranger with stepside bed, 4.0L and 5 speed? Surely someone here has weighed their truck?

The GVWR is 5140, but the GCWR isn't stamped on the door label though none of that means anything without the base truck weight.

Excellent. Thanks for the quick answer. My 2003 2wd, 2.3, 5 speed normal cab with the stepside scaled in at 3200. I was actually thinking ~4200 for this one. The 3900 - 4300 sounds about right. It's a 1996 Splash. I was looking for ballpark. I can deal with a 400# discrepancy.

Yeah, but you have a little more motor, drivetrain, and tire than a stocker. :icon_twisted:

My '99 supercab 3.0L automatic with just about all the options scaled in at 4,007Lbs GVW.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Wow, my mostly stock '95 Explorer weighs #4400. (4 door, 4x4, SOHC swapped, auto, roof rack, aluminum pushbar, LOTS of junk in the back) I figured the Ranger would be a lot lighter then #4200 or so.

My old 93 2wd with a 302 weighed under 3500lbs... but that was a bare-bones ranger. I could see the explorer weighing the same. Its only extra weight is really some interior pieces and extra roof.

Well, ends up that the truck weighs in at 2180/2080 or 4260, so right about what I expected based upon your responses. Thanks all.

A few years back I weighed my 10 4.0 wide bed super cab with factory tonneau, and it scaled at 4500 pounds.
