So I got my trucking running not throwing codes (thank god) Went for a test run and is very good on power 1-3 but when I hit 4-5th it has NO POWER what so ever, fills like your in way to high of a gear going up a hill.
Is there still something wrong with my truck or do I need gears??

How big are your tires, and what is your current gear ratio?

Did not want to hear that. Was wishing with a regeard I could have at least 55-60 in it. Right now my truck will not even pull 4th-5th on flat with the bed/hood off.

I had 33's with 4.56's on my 96 3.0L 5spd and it was about perfect.

Did you correct the speedometer to account for your larger tires?

Running larger tires with an uncorrected speedo will basically "slow down" the speedo and odometer. So when your speedo says you're travelling 60mph, you may be going faster. The larger your tires get, the more it throws things off, and 34s are a pretty big increase from stock, so it could have a significant impact. Gears are probably a good idea, but a speedo issue could be making the problem seem worse than it is in reality.
