You guys think my ranger would pull a 18ft camp trailer ( komfort lite). I got a 92 xcab 4.0 5 speed 4x4.

Legally, no probably not, so "it may not tow a large trailer"

Can it, yes.

A 1992 4x4 4.0l Xcab with manual trans has towing capacity of 3,100lbs
Automatic trans 5,500lbs
Regular cab with automatic 5,800lbs

I would find out the weight of the trailer, 3,100lbs ain't much

Numbers are from the Ford Tow Guide

Got my fullsize truck but dont wanna take it hunting. I did that last year and so worried about hurting it ( scratches dent, ect ). So I found this ranger but dont have a hitch on it. Thought i would ask before i wasted my time. Ive had lots of fords just only full size.

My credo
If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
Depends on how heavy the trailer actually is. Honestly the wind might be an issue with a trailer of that large of a profile and that small of a truck (cross winds that is).

I've pulled my 18' flat deck trailer with my '97, while it's within weight ratings, it looks pretty darn ridiculous.

Dont think its 3000lbs. I know a 2009 bayliner 175 pulls harder then that trailer did. Im not to worried about how it pulls just didnt know if it would toast my clutch and tranny.

Tranny and clutch should be fine, that is more of a driver issue, once you get moving don't accelerate when shifting gears, shift gear let out clutch then accelerate, so no slipping.

Downhill can get dicey, Ranger xcab curb weight is only a little over 3,000lbs, so if trailer weight is close to that it can push you around pretty good.
18ft trailer should be tandem axle and hopefully have tongue brake or electric brake, which will help, make sure trailer brakes are working.
