Hello, i recently got a auto 2000 ranger offroad package with 4.0L, i have done i few tune up (Spark plug, clean MAF,IAC and throttlebody, new air filter.) and i think my MPG actually decreased a bit...

Anyway i was wondering what is your instant MPG just to hold 90kph at a straight line and no hill?

For me just to keep 90kph on a straight line, i get 13-14 instant mpg, i was wondering if its normal for these truck? My only known issue is that the motor when warm, idle high at 850-1000rpm. I use a ultragauge to know the instant MPG, and i try to be as smooth as possible with gas in city/hw but i still average 14mpg.

Should i be consider these MPG? Or its just normal? Heard peope average more like 18-20mpg with these truck.

OK, you are saying kilometers and then miles per gallon...use one system of measurement at a time. If you are getting 13 - 14 liters per 100 km @ 90 kph instead of miles per gallon then you are in the normal fuel efficiency zone depending on tire size etc. A little crummy but not to bad. If you are getting 14 miles per gallon US (3.78 liters) at 55 miles per hour then that sucks . Calculate fuel efficiency by filling up the same way ( pump shuts off, fuel spills out etc) as you always do and divide liters used by kilometers driven to get liters per 100 kilometer OR take mileage driven ( use trip odometer, verify it is somewhat accurate) and divide by gallons used to re fill to get miles per US gallon. Do not worry about some "instant mileage" hoo harraw , just check average over a tank of duel ( at least 200 kilometers or 120 miles)
