on my 93 ex, the temp keeps fluctuating. It will go from between n and o on the gauge up to a to l on the guage, then it goes right back to n/o on the gauge. after a half minute to a minute it repeats.

I have tried two new t-stats and a new temp sensor. I am at a loss. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Jonathan

have you tried flushing the cooling system? it could also be the gauge it self going out or a bad chassi ground

I flushed the cooling system when I installed the first new t-stat. I am going to check the gauge and wiring next. None of the other gauges are misbehaving though. If it isn't the gauge I am stumped.

Thanks
Jonathan

I would try burping it for air. Sounds like it could be an air bubble..

Does this happen at idle or does it happen driving?

It runs warm at idle (middle of the gauge). I drove it all day yesterday, it would seem to me that any air would have worked its way out but who knows.

Thanks

So when you give it gas and drive it, it cools?

I would try to burp the system. I've never had it work its way out if it was something big enough to keep it from cooling. At least for peace of mind, you know?
