New to the board, I have a 1994 ranger 3.0 that was having fuel pressure issue. Hard starting at times. Changed relay worked for couple days and same problem. Put a pressure gauge and had to cycle the ignition 3 times before it got up to 35 psi. changed fuel filter and pump worked another couple days the back to square on. After further research, I found someone with the same problem and ended up to be a bad ground on the relay pin #85. He ran an external jumper ground wire to that pin # and solved his problem. I guess this is a comon problem. I also read that this ground turns relay on and off when ignition is on but when engine is running it stays grounded all the time. My concern is by grounding external constant ground. Would this do any damage to any other components? Any help be greatly appreciated
