I know its not a RBV, so go easy lol. My brother is going to look at a 97 Isuzu rodeo today, it is a second owner with 86k miles on it. The transmission went out, the guy bought another but never got it put in. He wants $950 for it.

so my question is, has anyone had any experience with a rodeo. From what i gathered from a quick Google search is they are not bad trucks, they just have normal problems like every other car.

Thanks for any input.

A great vehicle, Bro. I have a buddy who has had his since late '97 and he has right at 158,000 miles on it. He has had no problems with it. Just the usual maintenance that you have to have done. He takes good care of it. His son had a '98 Rodeo for a little over 10 years that he bought new and had no problems ever with it. He traded it in and got a 2009 Dodge Ram. He need a big rig to haul his new travel trailer.

I almost bought a 95 4WD, but I was outvoted 1-1.

Spousal associate's cousin was a Toyota dealer, so that put paid to my choice. Wound up with an underpowered Camry (which truth be told, has turned out to be an outstanding car longevity and maintenance-wise, I guess).

Well he ended up buying it. He talked the guy down to $850, my brother went with him too look at it. He said it was in really good shape (minus the transmission), said it purred like a kitten and has cold a/c :icon_rofl:

I recall that the '93 4x4 truck & '96 Rodeo had problems w/fuel pumps(on the rail).
I used to own a '85 2wd Pup & it started up everytime-
