I just noticed today that my transmission does not lock in park , it makes a clicking noise and rolls on hill's in park.
I purchased the truck about a month ago , trans. was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago.
Fluid is good and shift's great.
Any idea's what the problem may be ? I will be calling the trans. shop soon.

Either the park pawl or the sun gear are probably damaged.

It's too bad that Ford never equipped these things with some sort of special brake that holds them still when no one is in the car, you know, some sort of "parking brake".
