Hello,

Are the rear seats on my 87 Bronco II supposed to latch. I ask because mine does not yet there is this little lever on the side of the rear seats that does not appear to do anything. I also have an s10 blazer of the same era and its rear seat latches in the upright position but it also folds with the back right on top of the bottom. Can someone help me out?

Thanks

They are supposed to latch. The seat bottom folds first into the footwell, then the seat back folds forward to create a flat floor. If memory serves correctly the lever is the release for the seat bottom and the release for the seat back is a button on the top.

There is no latch on the bottom. It just kinda tucks in under the back rest. The back rest is supposed to latch, and that little lever is the release. Check and make sure nothing is in the latch.

Does anyone have a picture of the pivot area? Mine looks like it is missing some pieces or something. There are these two bars with slots on each seat that when pivoting move right past each other and that is where i assume the latch mechanism should be?
