Shackles change pinion angle. blocks create play. springs are not cheap....
Rock the blocks if your stock. if you have a 4-6" lift, using shackles will change the pinion angle enough to help with driveshaft angle. but springs.... springs are the way to go.

Edit: I would use explorer leafs if all your after is 1"-2" they ride like add-a-leafs, but! wont sag so much when you pulling your dirtbike,quad,load of dog $#!t....ect.....
