My a4ld went out on me. I know its not recommended, but I'm in a pinch.

I've dot a whole b2 w a 2.9/m5od. My dd b2 has a 4.0. I don't have the money for a 4.0 flywheel and clutch.

How long will my 2.9 clutch and flywheel hold up behind the 4.0.

Unless someone has a 4.0 flywheel and clutch they wanna give me

I'm 99.9% sure this is wrong. I've seen several posts where people put in a 4.0 clutch set-up in place of the 2.9 set up. I don't see why it wouldn't be backwards compatible. Whether or not it would work WELL, I don't know. But it should physically bolt up. Search around, there are a few guys who have done the upgrade.

I've got an A4LD I pulled out of my 87 BII, sitting on a pallet in my yard. Lot's of new parts. (everything with it) I'd be interested in working out something, if you were interested in it. I live near Luther, about 30 minutes south of you.

2.9 flywheel will not work with the 4.0 starter, hence fourth having to change over to a 4.0 starter when doing the swap on a 2.9. Physically it'll bolt up and yes I have done the swap.

And either way you will be changing starters, 4.0 starter differs between auto and manual.

Well, this is what you said. I was just saying it is possible. I think he probably is aware of the starter issues. It sounds like he's got all of the parts anyway.

So will the 4.0 flywheel and clutch will work on a TK4 and 2.8?
