project Broken Ranger(more of a carnage thread than a build thread)

picked up this 2000 ranger thursday

welll here is the before

Currentish

more to come, :thefinger:

need to install my 12k badlands winch and possibly my sliders.

also picked up a mini spool for the 8.8 but idk if i am going to use it or not, keep hearing horrer stores

specs to far
4.0/5r55e/ 4.10 gears
3" body
35" goodyear mt/r's
torsion crank(getting longer bolts from fastenal wendsday to crank it a bit more and probably install the 2" shackles in the rear.

trying to get some trail time in this summer, still need to register her and emission test her, plus redo the interior(its trashed)

then there is the bronco in the background... need to do something with it since its donating whatever parts i can use....

Thats a thousand dollar truck? Damn. I gotta see Wyoming...
In these parts (Vancouver, Canada) I'm lucky if I find an older running 2wd Ranger for a g note.

Lucky score. :icon_thumby:

Try farther north. If you get a car up here (Dawson Creek BC) for less than a thousand dollars most times you have to bring a trailer. Almost forgot, nice truck.

Don't get me wrong it has its flaws but my fiancee aunt moved back to ak and asked if I wanted to buy it . She said 1k and I jumped on it.

Has 150k on the clock and minus the dash the interior is destroyed(seats and carpet are beyond saving) and air bags are blown but minus the front bumpers and fenders the body is straight and the drivetrain seems solid. I was going to fix it and sell it but I decided to keep it as its narrower and better for the trails around here vs my fullsize bronco.

still trying to get the fiberglass bed sold.

did the 05 mirror conversion

going to call around this month and get some chevy 64" springs for the rear
picked up a 2" shackle from orielys to lift the rear.
and alignment scheduled for Monday.

SAS is going to wait, it going to be the last thing on my to do list, until then im looking for a 76-79 Dana 44 or Dana 60

looking at picking up a Hobart 210 mvp and this:
https://www.jd2.com/p-32-model-3-bender.aspx
and a chop saw after i get the garage clean out/ trip to see family next month.

oh and my engine pushed me back some....arg... going to have to redo the topend, started it yesterday and had a huge cloud of white smoke coming out the tailpipe. blah.
even more tempting to drop a 4.0sohc in or get a explorer donor.

i know thread is slow right know, more will come haha..

nope, they rub the back of the fenders when im off-road(prob because i removed the sway bar) and the front of the rear fenders. the pro comps seem to be the perfect offset.
