Well I got my hands on a 1990 ford ranger. Single cab 2.3l i4 and 5spd. My plan is to drop it because it is already low. :thefinger: This is going to be a fun project truck

This is the truck. I know it's rough but it's a work in progress

The only thing I see as rough is the paint...the body looks pretty solid. Most Rangers of that Era in the Indianapolis area are rusted out in the wheel arches and cab corners/rockers. Paint it, put some nice wheels and it will look great

I need more sleep.
With a name like that for your project I'm surprised the ATF hasn't deemed it a destructive device.

Yeah that's the plan. It body is solid, it has some rust inside the cab. All the mechanical workings are in good shape. Only real major problem is that the gas tank leaks.
I'm looking to get the dsm 3/4 drop kit with 2 inch drop coils and 2 inch blocks out back. It should total like a 5/7 drop.

Would 17x9 wheels fit, if I come down that low?

Hey guys. I have found a 2.3l turbo engine out of an svo mustang. (pictures coming soon)

The plan is to rebuild the engine but I run into a problem the engine did not come with a wiring harness or ecu. I have been looking and researching. I found the wiring harness diagram on this fourm. But I don't think the stock ranger ecu or wiring harness will be good for the turbo engine.

Thanks for all the help

If you don't want it I would guess that snorkel setup would be worth money to an SVO guy, that stuff doesn't grow on trees.

I think it would be awesome if you could make it functional though (with the offset scoop like a SVO...)

The top mount intercooler? I was gonna get rid of it because I wanted to keep the stock ranger hoodash :icon_rofl:

Can someone help me move this thread to mini trucks under construction? If the thread has to be deleted I don't mind creating a new one. Can someone please help?
