I've seen the Mustang transmissions on Ebay for less than $900. That isn't bad at all for a good 6 speed trans.
The M5OD's gearing is as follows:
3.40 / 2.05 / 1.31 / 1.00 / 0.79 (4.0L Engines)
3.72 / 2.20 / 1.50 / 1.00 / 0.79 (All Other Engines)
What kind of torque are you planning on making? I imagine the M5OD-R1 will be just find behind your 2.5.
