That's cool. Did you read the first post and thread title? He's talking about mud. Not hard packed desert. And saying a 2wd will go anywhere a 4x will.

I'm gonna lean toward no comment. Mine got stuck in mud in a landfill last year, day after a rain storm LOL.

I just want to add ive been farther in 4x4 Rangers with the rear driveshaft disconnected making it a front wheel drive than ive ever been in my two wheel drive Ranger with a locker and weight in the rear.

Pull will always outdo push when it comes to keeping a vehicle moving off road.

Never could I ever make it through any kind of mud a foot or deeper in any of my 2wd Rangers. The few junker 4x4s ive had with the rear end disconnected could get through a hell of a lot of mud just being front wheel drive.

My credo
If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
I have an ARB in the back of my 2wd. It's far from "being able to go anywhere" but I've surprised a few people and surprised myself a few times where it can go.

I keep saying I'm doing a 4x4 conversion, I have several spare parts and a complete donor truck. It's a matter of time and space.
