what kind of mods can i get for a 2007 3.0?? I AM NOT GETTING A 4.0 cause i just bought this one a year ago to the date actually and it has 17022.3 miles on it i am just looking for something to kick the power a little bit with out S/C or T/Cing it(cause those are future plans) any ideas?? preferably under 1000 dollars.
I already have an intake and an exhaust, mostly just for noise.

My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
Well, when I saw the title of the thread I was going to suggest an intake and exhaust....
Only other things I can think of are a Jet Chip (ask Jim) or an XCal2 tuner plus the famous throttle cable mod. It's in the Tech Library and costs way less than $1000. Like maybe 25 cents worth of zip ties.

Yea it actually works, more so on older high mileage vehicles. I did it on my 97 ranger when it had roughly 180,000 on it. It seemed to make a difference, im certainly gettin more rpm's out of it now. Im up to like 5200 when i was only gettin 4800.

I cant find it in the tech library. I dont need it cuz I made my own throttle linkage that doesnt bind and opens the throttle all the way but still curious to see what it is.

You are way better off to fix it right than put a bunch of stupid zip ties on it anyway.
The best mod I've found is the roller rockers. My 3.0 doesn't have an aftermarket chip available though. I've heard that that is the best mod for the original poster. There is also an undersized crank pulley available.

I wouldn't mind seeing your pics and it might be helpfull for some of the others here. I fab up all kind of things and have used throttle cables from all different kinds of vehicles to make things work. Stock cables don't look as cool as that one though.

Mutant Pony, do you think it could potentially do harm ( adding zip ties)? Or are you an advocate of doing things the right way so you only do them once.

I can't see how putting a bunch a zip ties in a spring won't eventually cause a problem. All you have to do is bend the pedal or bracket on the intake back to point of full pull.
I just grab the pedal and pull up until it is in a position that I like it. I have never had to do it twice.
