Hello everyone, I just signed up for this site because I just bought my first ever Ford Ranger (which is my first vehicle I ever owned) which I am very excited about!

I have a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 V6 5-speed manual 4x4 with 135,000 miles. Haven't named the truck yet, so if you have any ideas let me know!

I am going to try to do a lot of simple repairs myself, such as take out the instrument cluster and change all the dash lights (already did) but for the more extensive repairs, I am not really sure yet. Only time will tell.

Anyways it is great to be apart of this community and I am looking forward to learning a lot on here!

Welcome to TRS Harv ~!

I never got into the naming of my Rangers...although I did name a few of my vehicles when I first started driving.

One of them was "Black Knight" a black 1980 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4...

I gave up the naming after a few vehicles more and thinking they were enslaving me to work my ass off for the rest of my life...:)

Anyway...sounds like a nice ride and there is plenty of good help on this site...just ask!

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...
Just throw names at it and see what sticks! Somehow my projects have always manged to procure a name effortlessly.

my '86 Ranger had a junk engine when I bought it, but the seller had told me otherwise. (I don't know how, but the truck drove fine when he took me for a ride)My friend (I couldn't drive stick at the time) had to pull over on the highway when a ton of smoke filled the cab. Because of the smoke my friend called it a 'Dank Tank' and somehow it stuck.

Welcome to TRS, my friend
