Dual headunit

Does anyones else first gen ranger speakers whine?Mine wine but i also have two subs and they whine to.I took the radio out today and touched the rca cables to the radio body/metal and you could hear the whining loud and clear.The alternator is brand new.so what else could cause this? i couldnt find where the radio ground goes.

run a seperate ground. most likely because of the kind of radio. it may not have isolators in the internal power block to keep out engine and such noise. kinda like a cb radio with your HID's on.

the ground comes from the antenna wire is that suppose to do that?cause i disconnected the ground and it still played with the antenna wire.

I have had some radios that would do that. I sure wouldn't rely on that alone for your main ground though. I have a Dual in my Aspire and it's okay except sometimes it loses all the presets when you start the car. I've read it is a common problem with that model.

I have a whining noise coming from my subs and if i put the radio in aux input and nothing hooked up and then turn it all the way up and i can hear the alternator whining.its a brand new alternator and i have tryed to clean my subs ground and radio ground but its coming from the radio .

are your amps power wires and rca wires running beside each other?
are you using a good shielded rca wires?

are you using a good shielded rca wires?
yes they are but i moved them before and it didnt help a bit. and yes they are good rca wires

RCAs

I was just wondering if you use RCAs off your head for anything, like wires to your amp? If they slightly unplugged it will make it whine.
