I have changed plugs, wires, coils and fuel injector for cylinder 1. Still sets off check engine light. The truck has a rough idle while cold then smooth's out at operating temp. Any idea's? Thanks Chris

Could be intake manifold gasket leak at #1 cylinder.
As engine heats up metal expands and leaks less.

Could be a intake valve guide seal leaking oil into #1.
Harder to ignite when cold then once warmed up it gets easier for spark plug to ignite the oil mix

What do the #1 spark plugs look like?

Hey Ron I am thinking the same thing, The plugs look clean no residue from oil burning.

Clean plugs could be lean mix then.

Check out the solution on this post: http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150357

Not saying this is the problem but, it was an odd one.................

Mis-fire code is generated by the computer and CKP(crank position) sensor.
When a cylinder fires it adds to the speed of the crank shaft, when it doesn't fire then crank speed drops slightly, we are talking milli-second timing :)

It can also be generated by the ICM(ignition control module) in the Computer(on EEC-V), the ICM monitors "spark feed back".

If possible get the CEL codes, all of them, and post them
