ok so my A4LD i though was shot. but i read Glacier991's thread from one of the exploders forums and changed out my modulator. Well I now have 2nd gear but only manually if its in od or drive it does not shift up. I was wonering if this sounds like a gov. or a shift silenoid? or even a band adjustment. when i shift it manually 2nd gear is strong so i dont think its a band but it maybe.. Thanks in advance.

PS its a 89 broncoII with A4ld and 1354 manual from and exploder.

There is a small rod that fits in the modulator, you didn't loose it did you?
If it's missing the tranny will think you are at WOT and shift accordingly.
