I'm a new member and a lot of the threads give me a message to update my account to allow third party picture hosting. I have no idea what that means. I've looked over my account settings and don't see anything obvious that I should change. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

It's nothing here on the forum that you need to fix or change. It's to do with the people who orignally posted the pictures on the forum. Photobucket, where the photos are hosted, now wants users to pay $400.00 per year for what is called third party hosting, where the photo is uploaded to their site, and then posted into the forum from there.

OK thanks. I belong to a bunch of different forums and I get the same message at two of them. $ 400 - ouch! Too bad, there a couple of threads with a lot of pictures that would be interesting to see.

There are add-ons or extensions you can get for all the major browsers that allow you to see the pics. If you are one of the many that photobucket is trying to blackmail, use this opportunity to switch pic hosts and links while you can still see the pics.
