Hi all. Just bought a 2000 Ranger XLT and it's clean! The only issue I have is the ride is very wobbly. I'm thinking it's time for new shocks and struts and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good brand?

I decided to go with KYB Gas-a-just, and got a complete upper arm replacement kit with bushings. Install this weekend, wish me luck!

I agree with what Richard mentioned about the tires. They are the most likely source of making a ride wobble.

You didn't really elaborate on the wobble so it could be just about anything...if your ride wobbles when you go over bumps only then that is "most likely" shocks or related to your suspension components.

If the ride wobbles down the highway that is otherwise flat with not dips or holes then it is your tires...belts shifting and bulges are the most common cause of this type of ride wobble...

As for the best shocks...I usually buy what is on sale and haven't been disappointed by that...Rangers ride rough regardless...too tight on the shocks makes them bounce worse than wonky shocks...especially if you are not carrying any weight in the bed...same as too much tire inflation...bouncy bouncy...:icon_bounceblue:

Keep us posted as to whether your parts give you more of the ride you want...
