I just did a 3" body lifts on both my 99 Wrangler and my 2003 Ranger. The Wrangler has 30" tires on stock 15" rims and now looks pathetic. The Ford has 265/75 R16's and looks equally pathetic. Don't the Ranger and Wrangler have the same 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern? What I would like to do is put the rims and tires from the Ranger on the Wrangler and just bite the bullet and get 4 new rims and tires for the Ranger. The Ranger rims and tires look significantly bigger than what is on the Wrangler though on paper it doesn't look like much of a difference? They look like they would fit nice on the body lifted Wrangler. Maybe 33" tires for the Ranger? Should I stick with 16" rims or move up to 17"? Anyone with more knowledge on this subject please don't hesitate to critique my plan!

I'd go for it. But stick with 16's for the Ranger.

Your Ranger rims will fit fine.

I've had 4 different sets of aftermarket rims on my Ranger that came from Wranglers.

Both share the 5 on 4.5 bolt circle.

If you try to put factory Wrangler rims on a Ranger though, the center may have to be enlarged for the Ranger hub.

Luckily I am going the other way around. Now I will have 4 decent Wrangler aluminum stock rims and a good set of Kumho tires to try and find a home for.

go for it. they'll fit on the wrangler, but stick out a little more.

as far as rim selection, do you plan on keeping both rigs for awhile?

if so, get the same diameter rims on both rigs.
-mix-n-match is fun
-can save money (when one gets upgraded, the other gets the tires and/or rims.)
-testing tire size/rim bs on each other
-in a pinch, you've always got spares
-etc....

i have owned 3 rbvs (still have 2). the majority of rims/tires i've owned have been on all of them.

Keep the wrangler rims and mount your winter tires on them. That's what I would do anyways. I run a pair of 1995 Dodge Intrepid rims on my Ranger during winter. Although I'll probably never use them again based on how I'm getting a car for winter driving/college commute.

Some Jeeps use 5 on 4 1/2, the M&T wheels with Baja Claws on my 88Ranger come off a Jeep.
