inner shifter boot

Ok, I've been looking for a few days trying to find where I can find an inner shift boot, the one that is directly on top of the tranny, for a FM146. Finally called the local dealer, $42.98. it's a 1991 with 300k on it, I'm not going to spend that much for one.
Is there a cheaper fix?
Am I calling it the right thing at the auto parts stores?

i went to a ford factory parts seller in OKC and they were selling the inner boot 4x4 with manual tranny and t case for $230. and it had to be special ordered.

i found that a tie rod boot from dorman help #13564 fit almost perfect just need to silicone the opening at the top since it is a little bit bigger then the shifter

ya I actually work for a local mom and pop style store, we stock it here its a tierod boot for bigger tierods, if you look in the help section of your local store they should have it or be able to get it for you. It fits perfect and the bottom plate just wire tie it on , and silicone the top hole since it is a little bigger that the shaft of the shifter

that would work and be nice if we were talkin about a m50, but we are discussing fm146 in this case and the shifters are completely different

Link is no longer available, do you have info on where I might get the repair kit you posted about. Most that come up in search are three bolt pattern mine is four bolt.
