Hey,

I was browsing around for more 2019 news, and I ran into this

https://www.georgewaikemford.com/blog/2018/february/26/2019-ford-ranger-at-the-cleveland-auto-show.htm

Seems to be a Ford dealership who attended the Cleveland Auto-Show, and in the first sentence of that link, they say:

"The 2019 Ford Ranger made its local debut at the Cleveland Auto Show. The Ranger returns to George Waikem Ford in Fall 2018, so the Auto Show is your first chance to see it up close."
That's when the new models would typically come out. They told us at the debut they weren't expecting to see it in the dealerships until January. Sooner would be better though.

My credo
To each his own.
Maybe that is when they will announce the diesel coming "Spring 2019", you know, like they did the 2018 F150 ?

Maybe both the diesel and the Raptor will be announced when they first start selling the regular models, much like they did for the 2018 F150.

Dang. A diesel with a 6 speed manual might really sell, especially for a 'run around the farm truck'.

They probably want to pump out a fair sized pile of them before they start shipping.

Most run around the farm rigs are made by Polaris or John Deere.

Hmm, Fall 2018 doesn't seem likely, seems like the early 2019 reports are probably more accurate. According to the article below MAP is being retooled in order to produce the ranger and bronco, until Oct. 2018 (at least that's when workers are back).

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2018/03/02/michigan-assembly-layoff-retool/111027198/

"The temporary layoffs will last until Oct. 22, according a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice obtained by The Detroit News."

So the Bronco will be based off the Ranger I assume since they'll be building them in the same plant?

If that's the case it'll still be a "Bronco II" right? Since the Ranger and Bronco II were basically the same, where the Bronco and the F-series shared platforms.

Kind of... they are calling it just “Bronco” though.
