It all started when a kid at my school told me he picked up a bronco 2 last spring. This fall he was in my math class and told me he totaled it over the summer. We got to dealing and I ended up getting it in my yard for $100. Its got the stock 2.9 with twin sticks and manuel hubs and it all works!

How it was when I bought it. (sad sight)

Then came the donor truck 89' 2.9 2wd auto. No it wasnt cut up or dented when I picked it up. It was owned by and old man who just painted it. He was driving it and said it just stopped and wouldnt go into drive or reverse without stalling. The transmission shop told him the torque converter was locked up. I paid $250 for it and when I got it home I held it wide open and nuetral dropped into drive. She drove off the trailer and I hammered on it around my yard for the rest of the weekend. there was snow on the ground and the bald 14s were cuting it so i hacked the quarters and threw some 33s on there.

Tore the inners off the bronco

The frame horns on the bronco were all twisted up so off they went and on goes the ranger ones. got them all tacked up and then had to patch the bodymounts.

All painted up

Test fit. I have since painted the core support and inner fenders semi gloss black.

Put the 33s on to check clearance with no lift. Yeah gunna need more! I have a 2inch bl from james duff and new duff body mounts going in. The picture the rear tire isnt bolted up. after I took the picture i bolted it on and let the jack down it was a hair from the fender.

Taken today. Hung the fenders on and hood. nothing bolted. The front clip isnt even bolted or welded yet. Hoping to do some of that tomorrow.

The body was... toast. the pass rear was gone. behind the doors where gone. where the wheel wel met the floor in the rear was seperating because the body mount supports and ribbing was rotted off. it was wayyy to rusty for me. It was comparable to copykat's before he fixed his. So now shes getting the ranger cab and shortbed, possibly flatbed/tube bed

Guess that makes sense. Every B2 I've found down here are pretty much rust free. My blue one has a couple of spots, but tan is clean

Today I pulled the tranny and transfer case out to change the flywheel gear which is stripped. also pulled the sway bars off. Tomarrows plan is to steam clean the frame and paint some of it, maybe sandblast it first though. I have a 2 inch body lift for it and a 4 inch suspension on its way in the mail. I plan on running a mixed matched f150/bronco/ranger leaf pack. looking for it to be fexy but level wwith the front. Also if you look in one of the first pictures you can see a big whole infront of left rear wheel..... northeastern rust...
