Fair enough :) I think it looks slick. What's next?

I like it too, gives the truck a unique look to it. Next on the agenda is to get it lowered a little bit more and maybe fit some stiffer torsion bars. As it is right now the truck handles brilliantly but lowering just that bit more would improve on that and the look of the truck. The next major upgrade would be changing the brakes but for the time being they are just fine.

Here's some stuff for you all, I went on a road trip with my truck from my home city of Calgary Alberta to the greater Toronto area of Ontario. 4 days and 3,800 kms my journey took me and the truck never skipped a beat. So now I'm hanging around Ontario for a bit.

Pit stop in Kenora Ontario.

In the mean time I have installed XLT trim door panels on my truck because they look nicer, have bigger grab handle and map pockets.
My 2011 Sport has (from the factory) the same door panels as the XLT. Mine does have power windows though, maybe that is why the difference.

That's why, my truck has crank windows. It's very hard to find a Ranger with XLT trim and crank windows based on my experience.

An update for you all on another mod I did to my Ranger, I did an electric fan conversion. NOW I DO NOT WISH TO START A DEBATE OVER THE WHOLE MECHANICAL VS ELECTRIC FAN SUBJECT I DID THIS FOR MY OWN CURIOSITY. I have seen many electric fan conversions and have done one in my old Ranger but this time I wanted to try something different, I've noticed that when people do an e-fan conversion they sometimes buy a fan and stick it right on the radiator, this is what I did on my first conversion. I've seen the Taurus fan conversion and the tech page has a Volvo conversion but I did something different that I haven't seen done before but I could be wrong. I noticed that 2002 & up 2.3L Rangers with A/C use both a mechanical fan & an electric fan which is a fan & shroud assembly that bolts to the radiator & I got to thinking if I could make that work on my 4L Ranger. So I did some research and although the 2.3L & 4L rad's are different dimensional wise they are almost identical so I thought that the 2.3L fan & shroud should bolt to my rad. I had to do a bit of trimming on the opening for the 2.3L's mechanical fan because it sit's further back in the engine bay than the 4L does. But after that it bolted right in!! using the same points on my 4L rad. I got a Flex-A-Lite fan controller & mounted it to the spot where the 2.3L's power steering fluid reservoir would normally go, poked the temp probe thru the rad near the upper rad hose & ran a manual override switch inside the cab. I'm extremely pleased with the way this worked out, I don't know what the CFM is for this fan but it draws an excellent amount of air & it doesn't come on very often and when it does it's only for about 10-15 seconds then shuts down, but that could could change when warmer weather comes. For now the engine temp sit's right where it should be & I've adjusted the fan controller at a desirable setting.

Before.

After.

Thanks Eh! No I'm not army, all my family is in the golden horseshoe area of Ontario & it's a drive I've wanted to to for a while.

I finally got some pictures of my door panel swap.
