In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Congratulations. It took me a while to find the lower one on the side when I did my waterpump replacement.

Hello,

I'm on a 2001 Ranger with the 4.0L SOHC. I am trying to get the PS and AC bracket out of the way so I can change out the battery harness. I've got the three bolts out of the front (see pics), but can't find any bolts on the side. All of the pic links in this thread are dead ends. Anyone have any pics? or any advice? I'm pretty stuck.

BTW, the pics show the three main bolts most of the way out.

Mine is a 3.0l, so it might be different. I think I was able to see or access the side bolt by looking in through the wheel well. I'll try to remember to get a picture later if I can.
