My credo
God is great, beer is good, and rangers are awesome!
I have a 98 4.0 manual transmission. The past few days, when I start my truck up, it squeals really bad for about a minute. It only does it when I first start it that day, other starts, its fine. It sounds like it's coming from the transmission. It's been below freezing the past few days so would that have anything to do with it? I posted a video of it doing it on youtube- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=N113rpDyXqA hopefully that will help. Thanks in advance!

Check your fluid first. How many miles on the clutch? How many miles on the fluid? If you are confident that these are ok, perhaps a professional opinion of a reputable trans shop. Remember, sound travels through the metal and MAY be coming from elsewhere.
