Don't know anything about it but it looks interesting! You could buy it and test is out. If you don't like it you can return it within the 90 day warranty period. It appears to do ECU programming, key coding, reads all protocols. Here's a link to the user manual. I'm going to read through it a see if this is something I need. If it actually does all of the things the ad claims, I've seen shops with similar reader/scanner/diagnostic machines that cost at least twice that amount!

I will say that the BAFX Bluetooth dongle from Amazon and Torque Pro for my Android phone has been a great investment. $24 for the dongle and $5 for Torque. There is a free version of torque but it is worth the $5 for the pro

I'm looking into the $39.99 hand held unit from Advance Auto tomorrow. Regularly $59.99, so they say. Just want to read and clear codes.

If you're looking at code readers, I would suggest paying a few bucks more and get one that will read live data.

Thnx for the advice. Can you advise of the advantages. I think you can see how the O2 sensors are dealing and things like that. I really wouldn't need one right now if I hadn't hooked up the plug wires wrong on cylinders 4-6. You know how the coil pack counts funny. RE: 1,2,3 and 5,6,4. I got a little confused and reversed 5 and 4. Now I've got the CEL. My Bad!!!

I agree with Martin on this one. even if you have no need to read live data at the moment, there might be a time down the road where you will, and in general it is a nice feature to have for troubleshooting. if you are going to spend the money, spend it and get one that will do it all :)

the one that I listed above for use with a smart phone will pull live data, and I was only out a total of about 30 bucks. Not bad, and my unit will pull transmission codes too :)

being able to scan live data is especially useful if you have a non starter, for example, you can see if you are getting a crank signal and also what temperature the computer thinks the air and motor are while you are turning it over. I used to have one that just read codes etc. but last year upgraded to one that reads live data. I should have upgraded years ago, it would have saved a lot of guess work.
