So can anyone tell me why my b2 won't run when it gets under half a tank? Even tried new gas , runs perfect with a full tank

How many gallons does it take to fill the tank after it runs empty maybe your sender is bad. The fuel pump sits at the bottom of the tank does your guage read empty with the key off.

It just happened again! It took only eleven gals to fill so there was still plenty of gas in there,

So it does this intermittently? Sounds like something is blocking the pickup somehow. When you fill up, it washes it away from the pickup or floats it to the top? Just a guess.

If you have the means you can cut a hole above the tank access.Put a plate back on makes working on this a lot easier. You will also be able to see how much gas is in there at that time.

Well I dropped the tank and changed the strainer, so far so good, my guess is once the fuel level got below the pump it wouldn't pick up enough fuel to run......?
