All the grill guards I see advertised only list guards for 4x4 Rangers. What's the difference as far as a grill guard is concerned? Aren't the frames the same? What would be the problem with putting a guard for a 4x4 on my 2x4? I have a 2000 2x4 with stock front suspension, add-a-leaf rear, Eaton E-locker diff (absolutely great!) and a nice grill guard would protect things when I go out and pretend it's a 4x4.

I don't think there would be a problem installing one for a 4X4 on a "4X2", I'm not an expert, but I've seen grill guards on 4X2's before
