Hey all,

2nd used ranger for me. Previous one I had a whole back I got rid of in nice running condition with 298k miles.
Just picked up this 2000 with 165k on the odometer. It is a 3.0L Flex also. Never had a flex fuel vehicle, seems cool because looks like average price for flex is about 70 cents cheaper than regular [emoji16]
Loving it so far. Have to replace thermostat, elbow, radiator cap, temperature sensor & battery. Besides the rust on the frame should be good to go for a while; hopefully can do something about the rust.

Welcome to TRS! Descale, then apply fluid film or Krown to help slow the spread.

Enjoy the madness!

Just remember that while E85 is cheaper you will get drastically worse gas mileage on it.

Thanks Guys!

What I noticed about e85 so far is that it varies from one station to the next.

If I fill up with BP station, my mpg goes down to about 11 or so, if I use this Pruett station Conoco, I'm getting almost 17mpg.
I'm doing a study for myself with e85 & regular. So far seems that if I use the Conoco e85 my cost per mile is cheaper than with regular gas. Gotta continue the test over a few tanks to really get good numbers.
