Hi, I got some problems. Here's what I've done, first I checked and cleaned every connection on the LH and RH side. Then got a code reader that reads ABS & SRS codes. It told me it was the passenger occupancy sensor. So I rechecked the connections and still the problem. Took the passenger seat out and checked the sensor. I did resistance check and found out it was 106K ohms and 3.8K ohms and 102.2K ohms. I got my wife to sit on the seat and rechecked the resistance, it stayed the same (not good). I pinched the tube to the sensor and put pressure on the gel in the tube. The resistance changed to 106K ohms and 5K ohms and 101K ohms. Then I put the seat back in the truck and the light came back on (not fixed). Does anyone know the what is the proper resistance to turn the light off (So it looks like someone is in the passenger seat all of the time) ?
If I need a new sensor the only place I can find to get it is from Ford and it is about $1400.00 for the seat bottom which includes all the electronics and connections. It's the smallest part they sell with sensor in it. I will look at the auto recycler's, too...
