- My credo
- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I may be stuck in some of my ways and I'm willing to admit that. I enjoy driving and I want to be in control of my vehicle, with the exception of occasional cruise control usage. Some people may benefit from self-driving cars. But I don't really want to be on the road near them. Some of y'all seem really stuck in your ways. Unfortunately, for good or for bad, self-driving cars are probably in our future. The current technologies are kinda just an incremental step in that direction, at least that's the way I see it.
Furthermore, how can the Rubicon or other 4X4 tracks be any fun in an autonomous vehicle? I know self-driving cars are coming. I work in a BMW manufacturing plant and I know how the manufacturers are working on this garbage. But I don't want anyone, governments or industry to force this on me. That will make me a very, very grumpy man.
